Meet the Author
Hi! My name’s John Price and this is my little cornet of the internet. Welcome!
I’m in my mid-30s, and I’ve been a role-playing gamer for most of that time. My earliest connection with the hobby goes back to the fifth grade, when I found a copy of the AD&D Dungeon Master’s Guide someone had mislaid at school one day. I was immediately captivated, and soon I had all the books and was DMing three different campaigns, one on the bus ride to and from school, one in “study” hall and a hardcore one on the weekends.
From D&D I branched out into most of the popular RPGs of the TSR Golden Age era like Top Secret and Gamma World. I pretty much had a campaign of one system or another running continuously until I was in my early 20s and my university gaming group broke up. My favorites from this period include West End’s classic Paranoia (still one of the most original games ever printed), and the Star Wars RPG also from WEG. I also ran lengthy campaigns of FASA’s original Shadowrun and White Wolf’s groundbreaking Vampire. Good times.
