Well folks, the old Screaming Alpha took a bit of an unplanned hiatus for a few weeks thanks to a family emergency and a technical problem or two,but I’m getting back in the swing of things now, and we should be back to the weekly Friday update frequency in the future.

During the layoff I discovered an important truth about blogging. Actually it’s something I’d read it again and again from other bloggers so I guess it’s not exactly a discovery. Success in blogging means making a schedule and sticking to it. Once I fell out of the habit of doing the weekly updates, it was harder and harder to start it up  again. Well that’s over with now. I’m back on track and there’s a bench full of cool minis on my workbench awaiting my attention.

I have a couple more reviews in the pipeline that should be posted in the next day or so, including some Halloween-themed minis that didn’t quite get done in time for the holiday. In the mean time, please enjoy our first new zombie review in some time, as well as a couple of anecdotes about incompetence both (mine and someone else’s) and a video review/tutorial about the fine JB Kwik epoxy. Oh, and a special shout out to my twitter followers. Against all of my expectations, seven people have already signed up for my twitter feed, even during the layoff. Maybe there’s something to that whole scene after all… Anyhow, welcome aboard!
