Video Interview With Tom Tullis of Fat Dragon Games

Submitted by John Price on Tuesday, 18 August 2009No Comment

tom tullisAnybody who is active in the world of cardstock terrain knows the name of Fat Dragon games. Tom Tullis’ company is renowned for producing some of the best-looking cardstock kits around, and looking at the spread at their Gen Con booth this year it’s not hard to see why.

The booth was showing mostly fantasy-themed kits, but Tom tells me that they have sets for a variety of genres, from fantasy to modern to sci-fi. They even offer the “Ultimate GM Screen II,” a cardstock castle wall featuring two dice towers and miniatures storage on the GM’s side. You do have to print it and put it together, but it’s still a steal for $10.

I’ve mentioned it elsewhere, but it bears repeating that I’m a big fan of cardstock terrain. Once you buy a kit you can print as many as you want, and if something happens to a building or wall or something, you just print out another one. Perhaps best of all, since most cardstock terrain is sold online as downloadable PDFs, you can have instant gratification if you see something cool. Many of Fat Dragon’s products are also available through distributors on CD for those who dislike buying online.
