The Louisville Game Shop's Front Door

The Louisville Game Shop's Front Door

The Louisville Games Shop is, hands down, the best source for games of all kinds in the Louisville Metro area. For miniatures wargamers, the LGS offers the area’s most extensive selection of Warmachine minis and a wide array of items for Games Workshop’s popular Warhammer 40k. A good assortment of paints and hobby supplies are also available from Vallejo, GW, and Reaper.

For board game enthusiasts, the LGS stocks an extensive range of quality games, including both Euro-style games and more traditional American style products.

Role-playing gamers are not left out, though the RPGs are kept towards the back of the store. Most popular RPGs are available, from White Wolf’s new World of Darkness games to the latest from Shadowrun and of course a vast number of Dungeons and Dragons books.

The store also boasts a large gaming room in the back, which is frequently used for tournaments and demos as well as events such as the weekly Board Games Night on Tuesdays. In addition to a plentiful supply of tables and chairs, the LGS also offers an extensive array of tabletop terrain, mostly  hand-crafted by patrons.

Owner Colin Moore is friendly and knowledgeable about games, and can easily order anything not found on his shelves. He’s gotten several obscure game books for me, and it’s never been more than a week.

Overall, the LGS is the finest store of its’ kind in the region. Colin really goes all out to support the Louisville gaming community, and I would encourage all area gamers to come in and support his excellent shop.

The LGS website can be found here.
